In the spring, our focus turns to branding the calves and relocating the cattle to their summer pastures. As summer rolls around, it’s the perfect opportunity to explore the ranch on horseback and relish some well-deserved relaxation, with the cattle enjoying their time on the summer pastures.
Come fall, it’s roundup time, and our days are dedicated to locating the cattle and either moving them to winter pastures or preparing them for sale. Spring (May & June)
The main activities at the ranch during this time of year is branding the calves that were born over the winter months – this old custom brings with it an opportunity to come together and celebrate the new season. After branding the calves, you will drive the cattle out to summer pasture for grazing.

Summer (July & August)
The cattle are all out to summer pasture at this time, but the action doesn’t stop. Trail rides are offered daily as well as hiking, kayaking, fishing and biking and then finish your day with a nice home-cooked meal and entertainment in the Kara Creek Saloon.

Fall (September & October)
As the summer months come to an end, the focus shifts to rounding up the cattle, preparing some for sale, and moving the rest to their winter grazing pastures. If you have a passion for daily horseback riding and participating in cattle roundup, this is the ideal time to plan your visit to our ranch.
